FAQs

What's the difference between polycarbonate and vinyl materials?

The polycarbonate material has a smooth, glossy finish, and the vinyl material is textured with more of a matte finish.

What kind of tape is used on the vinyl corner guards?

The vinyl corner guards use a double-sided rubber-based foam adhesive with a thickness of 1/32″.

Can I cut the corner guards to a custom length myself?

While not recommended, it is possible to cut most types of corner guards in the field. If you need to we recommend using a fine tooth miter saw blade with a minimum of 80 teeth. Always be sure to read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Keep in mind that plastic is brittle and has a tendency to crack and break when cutting, and be sure to brace or clamp the material as you cut. If you are uncomfortable with this process, always feel free to contact Customer Service to receive a quote on pre-cut custom length items.

Do you offer custom color matching?

Yes, we are able to match your custom color. The requirements for a custom color match vary depending on the product line, quantity and desired lead time. Contact Customer Service for more information.

What material is used for textured vinyl corner guards?

Wallprotex produces vinyl corner guards from top UL fire-rated material.
